Butterflies, continued!

My last post included many photos of the Church decorated with butterflies. I forgot the most important picture - the only one I have of the crew setting up the spectacle! Here it is - a photo of Will and Katie busy creating our butterfly Easter. Thanks again to both of them, and to Mimi, Anne, Chris and Callie for their help on Holy Saturday!

  1. I love these butterflies! Would you be kind enough to tell how you assembled the strands and then how you hung from the ceiling? Thank you!!

    1. Boy this is a late reply, but I just came across your message! I'm so sorry! I'll try to describe it. We cut out the butterflies from card stock. Then punched three pin sized holes down the middle space about an inch apart. I more or less wove fish line through the holes so the butterflies wouldn't slide down the string. I put 2-5 butterflies per strand. Then we tied the fish line to string and hung the string across the balcony. I also tied a washer to the lowest butterfly while stringing it to give it some weight. I hope that helps! Thanks!
